Dining Plan Information
Planet Hollywood accepts the Disney Dining Plan. 1 Table-Service meal credit is redeemed per person. The broad menu and mid-range price points make the credit a reasonable value here, particularly for groups ordering at the higher end of the menu. Specialty beverages and gratuity are typically paid separately. Check Disney’s site for current dining plan participation details.
About Planet Hollywood
Planet Hollywood Observatory is the 2017 reimagining of the original Disney Springs Planet Hollywood location, now housed in a purpose-built globe structure on the West Side of Disney Springs that reads as a retro-futuristic observatory. The exterior globe design — complete with bands of metal and a three-story scale — is one of the more visually distinctive buildings at Disney Springs and makes the restaurant easy to spot from across the shopping district.
Inside the Observatory
The interior across three levels blends the brand’s signature Hollywood memorabilia — costumes, props, and signed items from major film and television productions — with high-energy video projections and a starry sky ceiling design that gives the building’s theme its payoff. The collection is genuine and worth browsing, and the multi-level layout means different seating areas offer different energy: quieter upstairs rooms, livelier lower floors near the bar, and outdoor seating on the rooftop terrace.
The ground-level Stargazers Lounge is a separate open-air bar space at street level offering walk-up drinks and occasional live music — useful for guests who want a drink during a Disney Springs visit without committing to a full table-service meal.
The Restaurant in Context
Planet Hollywood’s global brand recognition means it attracts a reliable mix of first-time Disney visitors, international guests, and families looking for a familiar name in an unfamiliar setting. The Guy Fieri collaboration refreshed the menu’s burger section considerably, and the World Famous Chicken Crunch remains one of the most-ordered starters at any restaurant in the Disney Springs portfolio.
The venue handles large groups competently, offers an extensive enough menu to satisfy groups with divergent preferences, and stays open late enough to serve as a post-park dinner destination. None of that is glamorous, but at Disney Springs specifically, those qualities make Planet Hollywood a consistently useful option.
