About Planet Hollywood

Planet Hollywood Observatory is the 2017 reimagining of the original Disney Springs Planet Hollywood location, now housed in a purpose-built globe structure on the West Side of Disney Springs that reads as a retro-futuristic observatory. The exterior globe design — complete with bands of metal and a three-story scale — is one of the more visually distinctive buildings at Disney Springs and makes the restaurant easy to spot from across the shopping district.

Inside the Observatory

The interior across three levels blends the brand’s signature Hollywood memorabilia — costumes, props, and signed items from major film and television productions — with high-energy video projections and a starry sky ceiling design that gives the building’s theme its payoff. The collection is genuine and worth browsing, and the multi-level layout means different seating areas offer different energy: quieter upstairs rooms, livelier lower floors near the bar, and outdoor seating on the rooftop terrace.

The ground-level Stargazers Lounge is a separate open-air bar space at street level offering walk-up drinks and occasional live music — useful for guests who want a drink during a Disney Springs visit without committing to a full table-service meal.
