The Candlelight Processional Dining Package at Rose & Crown Dining Room pairs a holiday meal of British pub classics with guaranteed reserved seating at that day’s Candlelight Processional performance at the America Gardens Theatre. It is one of the more atmospheric venue pairings in the entire package lineup — a pint and a plate of fish and chips on a waterfront patio, followed by a candlelit holiday concert under the open sky.

What Is the Candlelight Processional?

The Candlelight Processional is one of Walt Disney World’s longest-running and most beloved holiday traditions. Each year during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, a celebrity narrator joins a live 50-piece orchestra and a massed choir to retell the Christmas story at the America Gardens Theatre on World Showcase Lagoon. The program runs from mid-November through the end of December, with celebrity narrators rotating throughout the season. Past narrators have included Neil Patrick Harris, Whoopi Goldberg, Mariah Carey, and many others.

The Rose & Crown Setting

Rose & Crown Dining Room sits directly on the shore of World Showcase Lagoon in EPCOT’s United Kingdom Pavilion, putting you closer to the action than almost any other dining package venue. The outdoor patio tables face the lagoon — and the America Gardens Theatre sits directly across the water. Dining here on a clear December evening, with the holiday lights of World Showcase reflected on the lagoon and the sound of the choir drifting across the water, is one of the more genuinely magical experiences EPCOT produces each year.

The pricing covers both the meal and the reserved Candlelight Processional seating as a bundled package — the reserved seats are not available for purchase separately.

Rose & Crown is one of the most naturally suited venues in all of World Showcase for the Candlelight Processional Dining Package. The United Kingdom Pavilion anchors the far end of the lagoon promenade, and the dining room’s waterfront patio places guests in a front-row position to the festival atmosphere before the evening’s concert even begins. In December, the pavilion is decorated with wreaths, garlands, and period-appropriate British Christmas trimmings that complement the holiday spirit of the Processional itself.

The menu at Rose & Crown centers on traditional British pub fare — fish and chips, bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, and sticky toffee pudding — served alongside pints of Guinness, Harp, and Old Speckled Hen. It is hearty, satisfying food that suits cold December evenings well, and the informal atmosphere of the pub dining room makes the pre-show meal feel more like a proper holiday gathering than a set-piece dining experience.

Without a dining package, securing a good seat for the Candlelight Processional during peak December dates — particularly on evenings with popular narrators — requires arriving at the America Gardens Theatre 60 to 90 minutes before showtime.
