What Is the Candlelight Processional?

The Candlelight Processional is EPCOT’s signature holiday tradition, held annually during the Festival of the Holidays from mid-November through the end of December. Each evening, a celebrity narrator retells the Christmas story on the America Gardens Theatre stage, accompanied by a 50-piece live orchestra and a massed choir of more than 400 voices. Guest narrators have included Whoopi Goldberg, Neil Patrick Harris, Mariah Carey, and dozens of other celebrated performers. The roster changes throughout the season, with different narrators scheduled on different dates.

Multiple performances are held each evening, and the theatre fills to capacity quickly on popular dates. The dining package reserved section provides guaranteed seating without the need to arrive at the venue 60 to 90 minutes before showtime.

How It Works

1. Book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package at La Hacienda de San Angel through the Disney World app or Disney dining reservation system
2. Dine at your reserved time during the Festival of the Holidays window (mid-November through late December)
3. Request your reserved seating voucher from your server before leaving the restaurant
4. Walk along the World Showcase promenade to the America Gardens Theatre — allow approximately 10 minutes from the Mexico Pavilion to the theatre, as they sit at opposite ends of the lagoon
5. Check in at the reserved section entrance before the performance with your voucher

La Hacienda Setting

La Hacienda de San Angel is the lakeside dining room of the Mexico Pavilion, situated in a two-story hacienda-style building that faces directly onto the World Showcase Lagoon. Large windows frame views across the water toward the opposite side of the Showcase, and during the Festival of the Holidays the surrounding promenade is decorated for the season. The atmosphere at dusk — as the lagoon lights and holiday decor come up around the building — makes it one of the more scenically situated restaurants in the dining package program.

Dining Plan Information

The Candlelight Processional Dining Package at La Hacienda de San Angel does not accept Disney Dining Plan credits for this package configuration. The $$ price point makes this one of the more accessible Candlelight Processional package options, particularly for larger families or groups where total cost across multiple package bookings adds up quickly.

The walk from La Hacienda to the America Gardens Theatre covers most of the World Showcase lagoon promenade.
