A Rooftop Cocktail Party

Celebration at the Top - Sip, Savor, Sparkle is a premium cocktail-style event held on the 15th-floor observation deck of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. From the moment you arrive, you’re above it all — literally — with panoramic views of Magic Kingdom Park, the Seven Seas Lagoon, and the surrounding Walt Disney World resort campus.

The event is structured as a lively reception with passed bites, food stations, and open bar service. Upon arrival, guests enjoy:

• Sushi and small bites — an array of refined appetizers and canapés
• Dishes from the California Grill menu — selections from one of Walt Disney World’s most acclaimed restaurants, served in the party format
• Delectable desserts — sweet preparations that escalate toward showtime
• Complimentary bar — California wines, beers, and cordials for guests 21 and over with valid ID
• After the fireworks — a flavorful finale spread of petit four desserts, cordials, and coffee

Melodious music plays throughout the event, and the intimate observation deck is reserved exclusively for Celebration at the Top guests — no general resort access during the event.

Fireworks from the 15th Floor

As showtime approaches, guests step out onto the private observation deck to watch Happily Ever After illuminate the night sky above Magic Kingdom. At this elevation, the perspective shifts: rather than looking up at fireworks rising from the ground, guests watch them from above and at eye level, with the castle glowing below and the full sweep of the park visible in every direction.

The lights dim and the music plays on the deck, immersing guests in the show from a vantage point that very few people ever experience. After the finale, the reception continues inside with the dessert and coffee spread.

Dress Code and Arrival

Celebration at the Top - Sip, Savor, Sparkle is a Disney Signature Dining experience. Guests are expected to dress in clean, neat attire that respects the upscale aesthetic — no swimwear. Check-in takes place at the California Grill podium on the second floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. A Cast Member escorts guests up to the 15th floor via an elevator reserved exclusively for California Grill and event guests. Complimentary valet parking is included with the event.

Dining Plan Information

Celebration at the Top - Sip, Savor, Sparkle does not accept the Disney Dining Plan. This is a premium event priced at $169 per person, not including tax and gratuity. Full payment is collected at booking. The all-inclusive format covers all food, complimentary bar service, and fireworks viewing access from the private observation deck.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort opened in 1971 as one of the original two Walt Disney World hotels. Its iconic A-frame silhouette — with the monorail passing directly through the Grand Canyon Concourse — remains one of the most recognizable images in the Disney resort portfolio. The 15th-floor observation deck sits above that architecture, and California Grill on the same floor has long been considered one of the premier fine-dining destinations at the resort.

The Sip, Savor, Sparkle event is the cocktail party evolution of the rooftop experience — more social and casual in format than a seated dinner, but elevated by the California Grill kitchen’s involvement and the sophistication of the setting.
