Disney's Newest Lounge Has a Chandelier That Changes Seasons
Disney just added a brand-new cocktail lounge to its next Walt Disney World resort — and its centerpiece is a chandelier that shifts through all four seasons. In an October 1, 2026 update on the Disney Parks Blog, Disney revealed Branch & Brush, a lounge at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge serving “handcrafted cocktails and breathtaking views of Bay Lake.” Set “just beyond the lobby,” it’s anchored by “a captivating color-changing chandelier” that, in Disney’s words, brings “the beauty of all four seasons to life.” The 967-room resort opens July 1, 2027, and booking windows open this week.
This is the one genuinely new piece of the Lakeshore Lodge dining story. Disney had already unveiled the resort’s restaurants back in August; Branch & Brush is the fresh reveal, and it reframes how the lodge wants you to spend your evenings. It joins Lakeshore Lodge’s previously announced restaurants, but as the lobby-adjacent cocktail anchor, it’s a different kind of space than anything in that original lineup.
What Disney revealed about Branch & Brush
According to the Disney Parks Blog, Branch & Brush draws “inspiration from the beauty of the changing seasons,” pairing “rich colors, natural textures and an enchanting collection of artwork.” The color-changing chandelier at its center is the signature element — Disney positions it as the thing that creates “an inviting atmosphere where guests can unwind after a day of adventure.”
The lounge is built around Bay Lake. Disney describes it as a place to linger over a drink across the entire day, “from watching the sunrise over Bay Lake to enjoying a nightcap.” That’s a notable detail: most Disney lounges are evening-only, but the Parks Blog explicitly frames Branch & Brush as a morning-to-midnight room. Its position “just beyond the lobby” means it’s the first full bar you’d encounter on arrival, not a tucked-away venue you have to seek out.
What Disney has not announced is just as important to flag. There’s no menu, no cocktail list, no pricing, and no word on whether Branch & Brush will participate in any dining or beverage program. We’re working strictly from Disney’s October 1 reveal here, so anyone promising specific drinks or prices is guessing.
Why a lobby lounge is a bigger deal than it sounds
We’ve been tracking the Lakeshore Lodge rollout since the resort’s first dining reveal, and the placement of Branch & Brush tells us something about Disney’s intent. A lounge “just beyond the lobby” is a deliberate design choice — it turns the arrival experience into a destination. You check in, you walk past, and the first thing you see is a glowing, season-shifting chandelier over a cocktail bar with the lake behind it. That’s atmosphere engineered to make guests stop and stay on-property instead of heading out.
The all-day framing matters too. By building a single room that works for sunrise coffee-style lingering and late-night nightcaps alike, Disney gives Lakeshore Lodge a social hub that never fully closes. Our read: Branch & Brush is the resort’s living room, the counterpart to the more occasion-driven restaurants Disney revealed earlier.
The color-changing chandelier is also a smart piece of repeat-visit theming. A fixture that cycles through four seasonal looks gives returning guests a reason to notice the room differently in July than in December — the kind of detail Disney fans photograph and compare across trips.
When you can actually book
The reveal landed right as reservations open. Here’s the booking cadence Disney confirmed for Lakeshore Lodge:
| Date | Who can book |
|---|---|
| October 6 | Disney Vacation Club members (early rentals) |
| October 7 | Annual Passholders (early rentals) |
| October 8 | General public reservations |
With a July 1, 2027 opening, that’s roughly nine months of lead time before the doors — and the lounge — actually open. The booking windows are for resort stays, not for the lounge specifically; Branch & Brush, like the restaurants, doesn’t have standalone reservation details yet.
Our take
Branch & Brush is the detail that makes Lakeshore Lodge feel finished. A deluxe resort needs a signature gathering space, and a lobby-adjacent lounge with a four-season chandelier and Bay Lake views is exactly that. If you’re already eyeing a 2027 stay, this is the room we’d expect to become the resort’s unofficial meeting point — the place you say “let’s grab a drink” without having to think about where.
For now, the move is simple: note it, and watch for the menu drop. Disney has shown us the room and the chandelier; the cocktails are the next shoe to fall.
