Dining Plan Information

The Disneyland Resort does not currently offer a dining plan equivalent to Walt Disney World’s. All food and beverages at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar are paid out of pocket.

Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel is one of the most delightfully theatrical bar experiences on any Disney property. The tiny, densely themed tiki lounge is inspired by the infamous head salesman from the Jungle Cruise — Trader Sam himself — and it delivers far more than just great drinks. This is a bar where ordering the right cocktail triggers the room to come alive.

The interior seats only about 50 Guests, creating an intimate atmosphere packed with tiki artifacts, shrunken heads, nautical relics, and hidden surprises. Order certain signature cocktails and the room erupts: lights change, rain pours, volcanoes erupt, and the bartenders put on a show. The Uh Oa! triggers a full volcanic eruption effect. The Krakatoa Punch sends the room into a tropical rainstorm. Every drink order becomes a shared experience among everyone in the bar, and the energy is contagious.

Beyond the cozy interior, a covered outdoor patio — the Tiki Terrace — offers additional seating overlooking the hotel pool area. The terrace has a more relaxed vibe and is generally easier to access than the main bar, though it lacks the theatrical effects. Whether you snag a coveted spot inside or settle into the terrace, Trader Sam’s is one of those rare Disney experiences that feels like discovering a well-kept secret.
