Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante has been feeding hungry Disneyland Guests since 2001, occupying a sprawling hacienda-style building in Frontierland that sits in the shadow of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The name translates roughly to “ranch of the town square,” and the architecture leans into that spirit — whitewashed adobe walls, terracotta tile roofs, wooden beams, and a colorful interior draped with papel picado and wrought-iron light fixtures.

What makes Rancho del Zocalo more than a typical counter-service stop is its sheer size and versatility. The restaurant offers one of the largest indoor seating capacities in Disneyland Park, with an attached covered outdoor patio that catches the Frontierland breeze. On nights when Fantasmic! runs on the Rivers of America, the outdoor terrace can offer glimpses of the show’s pyrotechnics and projections — an unexpected bonus for Guests who time their dinner well.
