The Experience

La Cava Experience is a guided tequila and mezcal education event hosted inside La Cava del Tequila, one of EPCOT’s most beloved hidden gems tucked inside the Mexico Pavilion pyramid.

What’s Included

• A curated tasting flight of premium tequilas and/or mezcals, selected by knowledgeable hosts who walk guests through each pour
• Agave education covering the difference between blanco, reposado, añejo, and extra añejo expressions, as well as the distinctions between tequila and mezcal
• Paired accompaniments — typically guacamole, chips, or small bites — to complement the spirits
• Dedicated seating inside the atmospheric cave-like lounge away from the general bar crowd

The Spirits

• Selections rotate based on availability and season, with an emphasis on boutique and artisanal producers
• Expect expressions ranging from approachable silver tequilas to complex aged añejos and smoky mezcals
• Non-alcoholic options may be available for guests who wish to participate in the educational component without consuming alcohol — confirm with Disney at time of booking

The experience runs approximately 45 to 60 minutes and is designed for adults with an interest in agave spirits, from curious beginners to seasoned enthusiasts.

Dining Plan Information

La Cava Experience is a special ticketed dining event at EPCOT and is not included in or redeemable with the Disney Dining Plan. Guests must purchase the experience separately through Disney’s dining reservation system. About La Cava Experience

La Cava del Tequila has earned a devoted following since it opened inside EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion as one of the most atmospheric bars on all of Walt Disney World property. The cave-like lounge is dimly lit with warm lanterns, stacked with bottles representing over 200 tequila and mezcal expressions, and staffed by some of the most knowledgeable bartenders on Disney property.

La Cava Experience takes what makes the regular bar so compelling and elevates it into a structured tasting event. Rather than simply ordering from the extensive menu, guests are guided through a curated selection by a host who explains the history, production methods, and flavor profiles of each spirit. It is part education, part entertainment, and entirely enjoyable.

The Mexico Pavilion itself sets the stage perfectly. You enter through the towering Aztec pyramid, pass by the San Angel Inn and the Gran Fiesta Tour boat ride, and descend into the cave where the experience takes place. The ambient sound of the pavilion and the visual drama of the pyramid architecture make this one of the most distinctive settings for a spirits tasting anywhere at Walt Disney World.

This event is well-suited for couples, groups of adult friends, and anyone with an appreciation for craft spirits who wants to go deeper than a standard drink order. Reservations are required and availability is limited, so booking well in advance is strongly recommended.
