The Experience

The Show

The Pioneer Hall Players perform a raucous, audience-interactive show filled with frontier-style singing, dancing, and comedy sketches. The two-hour revue is designed for the whole family — expect clapping, stomping, and spontaneous participation. The humor is broad and good-natured, the songs are catchy, and the performers are exceptionally talented.

Three shows run each evening at Pioneer Hall, with doors opening at 4:00 PM, 6:15 PM, and 8:30 PM. Seating begins immediately at these times and the show begins 20 minutes after doors open. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your reservation time to check in.

What’s Included

The all-you-care-to-enjoy feast is served family style throughout the performance:

Prices include tax and gratuity. Ticket prices vary by seating category: Category 1 ($78 adults / $45 children ages 3–9), Category 2 ($74 adults / $41 children), Category 3 ($70 adults / $40 children). Category 3 seating is on the second floor with no elevator access.

Seating Categories

Three seating categories are available. Category 1 and 2 seats are on the main floor with wheelchair-accessible seating. Category 3 is on the second floor of Pioneer Hall (stairs only). Choose your category based on proximity to the stage and accessibility needs.

Dining Plan Information

When using the Disney Dining Plan, 2 Table-Service meals are redeemed per person. Given that the all-inclusive experience includes unlimited food, beer, wine, tax, and gratuity — all of which are typically separate charges elsewhere — this is widely considered one of the best uses of dining plan credits at Walt Disney World. The price per ticket (which includes everything) can easily exceed the per-credit value at other table-service restaurants.

Walt Disney World’s longest-running dinner show has been a beloved institution at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort since 1974, and it has changed very little in the decades since — which is precisely why it endures. The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a reliable, joyful, unironic good time that rewards families who come in the right spirit.

Pioneer Hall itself is a sprawling, rustic log structure that feels genuinely removed from the rest of Walt Disney World. Getting there is part of the experience: Guests can arrive by ferry from Magic Kingdom Park, by boat from select resorts, or by driving to Fort Wilderness and taking a bus to Pioneer Hall. The journey helps set the frontier mood long before the curtain goes up.

The show is interactive in the best possible way. The cast actively draws in the audience throughout the performance, and the communal nature of the family-style feast means tables of strangers often end up cheering and laughing together by the end of the evening. For families with young children especially, the combination of live entertainment, unlimited food, and an atmosphere that encourages being loud and silly makes the Hoop-Dee-Doo one of the most purely fun nights at any Disney property.
