The Experience

La Hacienda de San Angel is a comfortable, unhurried restaurant — not especially loud, not especially rushed. The dining room’s lakeside windows create a pleasant backdrop for a pre-concert meal, and the menu offers enough variety that both adventurous eaters and more conservative diners will find something. Expect dishes built around regional Mexican flavors: mole sauces, fresh salsas, corn preparations, and grilled proteins. The tableside guacamole is a popular starter when available.

After dinner, the walk along the lagoon promenade to the America Gardens Theatre is itself part of the experience — you will pass a good portion of the Food & Wine Festival marketplace booths along the way, which gives you an opportunity to pick up a dessert bite or festival drink before the show. At the theatre, the reserved seating section puts you in front of a general admission crowd, so you will have a clear sightline to the stage without having to arrive early. Showtimes typically run in the early and late evening; your server can confirm the performance schedule when you check in.

About La Hacienda de San Angel Concert Series Dining Package

La Hacienda de San Angel sits right on the World Showcase Lagoon shoreline at the Mexico Pavilion, which makes it one of the more scenically situated restaurants in the entire program. The two-story hacienda-style building features large windows that frame views across the water toward the opposite side of the Showcase — a setting that works particularly well at dusk as the festival lights come up around the lagoon. The menu leans into contemporary Mexican cuisine with dishes like enchiladas, grilled meats, fresh ceviches, and a solid selection of aguas frescas and specialty cocktails.

The Concert Series Dining Package here works the same as it does across all participating restaurants: book the package, dine at your reservation, collect your voucher from your server, and present it at the America Gardens Theatre reserved entrance before showtime. Because La Hacienda sits at the opposite end of the lagoon from the theatre, you will want to factor in a 10-minute walk around the World Showcase promenade when timing your departure from the restaurant.
