Disney's Patriotic Food Drop Is Here—Over 20 New Items Starting Today
If you’re heading to Walt Disney World or Disneyland right now, your snack game just got a major upgrade. Starting today, June 15, Disney has rolled out its full Disney Celebrates America foodie guide — a coast-to-coast wave of new red, white, and blue bites and sips created by Disney chefs to mark America’s 250th anniversary. We’re talking more than 20 new menu items hitting dozens of locations across both coasts simultaneously. This is one of the biggest single-day dining rollouts Disney has done outside of a festival launch.
Here’s everything that just dropped, where to find it, and which items we think are worth hunting down.
What Is Disney Celebrates America?
Disney is joining the nationwide celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary with a summer-long food program spanning Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. The initiative, covered in full on the Disney Parks Blog, features what Disney describes as “a delicious selection of bites and sips” crafted by park chefs with a patriotic red, white, and blue aesthetic. Think berry-topped shortcakes, layered slushies, star-sprinkled desserts, and classic American staples reimagined for the milestone.
Most items are brand new as of today. A handful were already available at select locations in the days before the official launch window.
Walt Disney World: What’s New and Where to Get It
The rollout at Walt Disney World is expansive — 9 or more distinct new items spread across parks, resorts, and Disney Springs.
Magic Kingdom Park
Two Sleepy Hollow classics get the patriotic treatment starting today:
- Red, White, and Blue Funnel Cake — funnel cake with mixed berries, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and festive sprinkles (mobile order available)
- Red, White, and Blue Waffle — same berry-and-cream treatment in waffle form (mobile order available)
Also at Columbia Harbour House: Berry Shortcake topped with mixed berries, whipped cream, and patriotic sprinkles.
At Liberty Square Market: the new Red, White, and Blue Slushy — frozen Fanta Blue Raspberry and Cherry layered with whipped cream and popping candies (non-alcoholic).
EPCOT
Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue debuts two new items today (both mobile orderable):
- Sam Eagle Star-Spangled Shortcake — vanilla cake with strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, whipped cream, star sprinkles, and a Sam Eagle chocolate coin
- The 1776 — a non-alcoholic blue raspberry and Sprite drink with strawberry fruit juice-filled pearls
At Sunshine Seasons: the S’morin’ Across America Milk Shake (already available before today’s launch) — a s’mores shake with toasted marshmallow, graham cracker crumble, and a Soarin’ hang glider garnish.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Rosie’s All-American Cafe has the Red Velvet Riveter — a red velvet cake slice with fudge filling, cream cheese icing, ginger streusel, star sprinkles, and a chocolate piece. Already available via mobile order.
Disney Springs
The Ganachery is offering a limited 4th of July Mickey Milk Chocolate Ganache Square — classic creamy milk chocolate in a patriotic shape.
Walt Disney World Resorts
The resort network gets arguably the most concentrated rollout:
| Item | Location(s) |
|---|---|
| Fourth of July Beignets (NEW) — cinnamon sugar, marshmallow sauce, apple pie filling | Scat Cat’s Club Café, Port Orleans French Quarter |
| Fourth of July Cake (NEW) — strawberry & lemon mousse, confetti cake, chocolate shell | Contempo Cafe, Contemporary Resort |
| Pineapple Cupcake (NEW) — DOLE Whip pineapple cheesecake, pineapple buttercream | Capt. Cook’s + Kona Island, Polynesian Village Resort |
| Star Spangled Shake (NEW) — berries, vanilla shake, confetti cake ice pop, star sprinkles | Beaches and Cream Soda Shop, Beach Club Resort |
| Strawberry Cheesecake (NEW) — vanilla bean cheesecake, strawberry coulis, white choc collar | The Mara (Animal Kingdom Lodge) + Barcelona Lounge (Coronado Springs) |
| Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake (NEW) — vanilla sponge, strawberry filling, chantilly cream | BoardWalk Deli |
| Mickey Cinnamon Roll | 11 resort locations (Carousel Coffee, Contempo Cafe, Riviera, + more) |
| Red, White, and Blue Cake Pop (NEW) — blueberry + vanilla swirl cheesecake | 15 resort locations across all value, moderate, and deluxe resorts |
The Red, White, and Blue Cake Pop has the widest distribution of any new item — available at 15 resort food courts and quick-service locations, from Art of Animation to the Grand Floridian. That’s an unusually broad rollout for a single new dessert.
Disneyland Resort: What’s New and Where
The West Coast program launched a few items earlier than the WDW wave but is now in full swing.
- Apple Pie Dip and Churro — near Town Square and Sleeping Beauty Castle (already available)
- Apple Pie Churro at Willie’s Churro in Disney California Adventure (already available)
- Red, White & Blue Punch (non-alcoholic) at Smokejumpers Grill, DCA (already available)
- S’mores Marshmallow Wand, Patriotic Mickey Caramel Apple, and Clarabelle Cow Caramel Apple at multiple candy locations across both parks
- Orange Cream Soda (NEW, non-alcoholic) at Carnation Café on Main Street: Fanta, candied orange syrup, cream, candied orange slice
- 250th Celebration Dipped Mickey Bar at Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream — coming July 2 in California Adventure
The Disneyland-exclusive Sam Eagle Bucket collectible vessel launches June 30 at Disneyland (already available at WDW with a limit of two per person per transaction, while supplies last).
Our Take: Which Items Are Worth Prioritizing?
Based on what we can glean from the Disney Parks Blog descriptions, a few items stand out as particularly compelling:
Best value: The Red, White, and Blue Cake Pop at resort food courts. At $5–$7 (typical cake pop pricing), it’s accessible to everyone and available across 15 locations — no special reservation or park admission required for guests staying on property.
Best experience: The Sam Eagle Star-Spangled Shortcake at Regal Eagle Smokehouse in EPCOT. Regal Eagle is consistently underrated as a quick-service stop, and a dessert featuring a Sam Eagle chocolate coin is exactly the kind of deliberate, character-driven attention to detail that makes Disney dining special.
Most unique: The S’morin’ Across America Milk Shake at Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT. A s’mores shake garnished with a Soarin’ hang glider is a genuinely clever mashup of two beloved EPCOT experiences.
Best for Polynesian fans: The Pineapple Cupcake at Capt. Cook’s and Kona Island. DOLE Whip-flavored cheesecake frosting on a vanilla cupcake is a crowd-pleaser that will be gone the moment word gets around.
We haven’t tasted any of these ourselves yet, but we’ll be updating this post when we do.
Availability and Key Dates
Most Walt Disney World items go live today, June 15. A few Disneyland items were already available before today’s full launch. Key future dates:
- June 30: Sam Eagle Bucket available at Disneyland Resort
- July 2: 250th Celebration Dipped Mickey Bar at Clarabelle’s in DCA
- Items described as available “while supplies last” (Hoop-Dee-Doo Mug, Sam Eagle Bucket) should be prioritized early in your visit
According to the Disney Parks Blog announcement, Disney has not announced an end date for the program, but based on the America’s 250th anniversary framing, most items will likely run through at least Independence Day weekend (July 4) and potentially through the end of summer.
