Disney Just Gave Sci-Fi Dine-In a Menu Upgrade — And These New Dishes Look Incredible
If you haven’t made a reservation at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant in a while, it might be time to pull up the Disney dining app. One of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ most beloved themed restaurants just quietly rolled out five brand-new menu items — and if the descriptions are anything to go by, this spring refresh is absolutely worth booking.
According to Laughing Place, the new dishes officially debuted on April 1, 2026, with the venue cheekily assuring fans: “We’re not fooling you — these new menu offerings are teleporting into the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant.”
What’s New on the Menu
Five dishes have joined the lineup, spanning appetizers, entrees, and dessert:
Silver Screen Wings
Crispy wings tossed in your choice of hot honey buffalo or parmesan-garlic sauce, served alongside celery and carrot slaw. This is the kind of shareable starter that feels made for a night out at the movies — even if those movies are playing on a loop from 1957.
Cheese Ravioli
This is the dish that’s catching the most attention, and for good reason. Brown butter ravioli arrives loaded with housemade sausage, roasted mushrooms, squash, and a finishing touch of lemon ricotta. It’s a far more elevated offering than what Sci-Fi Dine-In has historically been known for, and signals a genuine push toward more refined comfort food.
Fried Chicken Sandwich
A buffalo-style fried chicken thigh, topped with housemade pickle ranch and lettuce, tucked into a brioche bun. This one slots right into the nostalgic American diner spirit of the restaurant while still feeling fresh.
Grilled Pork Chop
For guests looking for something a little more substantial, the new grilled pork chop comes plated with creamy cheese polenta, grilled asparagus, and a peach chutney. It’s a surprisingly elegant dish for a restaurant best known for its drive-in convertible car seating.
Feature Finale (Dessert)
Saving the best for last, the new dessert — fittingly named the Feature Finale — is a vanilla sponge roulade with raspberry and vanilla custard, cassis panna cotta, strawberry sauce, fresh fruit, and whipped cream. It sounds like the kind of showstopper finale that earns a standing ovation.
Why This Is a Big Deal for Sci-Fi Fans
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant has long been one of those quintessential Walt Disney World experiences that guests either love or leave off their itinerary entirely. The theming is second to none — guests sit in vintage convertible cars parked in a darkened, star-lit “drive-in” while black-and-white sci-fi B-movies play on the big screen. The atmosphere is an absolute 10 out of 10.
The food, historically, has been more of a mixed bag. Classic American comfort fare: burgers, sandwiches, shakes. Nothing to complain about, but also nothing that made you race to secure an advance dining reservation.
These five new additions tell a different story. A brown butter cheese ravioli with lemon ricotta? A grilled pork chop with polenta and peach chutney? Disney’s culinary team appears to be investing in elevating the actual food experience at Sci-Fi Dine-In to match the legendary atmosphere it already delivers.
Should You Book a Table?
If you’re visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios this spring, we’d say yes — with more enthusiasm than we would have a few months ago. The addition of the Cheese Ravioli and the Grilled Pork Chop in particular suggest this is a menu worth revisiting even for guests who felt the old offerings weren’t quite hitting the mark.
As always, advance dining reservations are strongly recommended for Sci-Fi Dine-In. This is one of the more popular table-service spots in the park, and a menu refresh like this is only going to drive more interest. Book through the My Disney Experience app or online at DisneyWorld.com, and aim to snag a reservation well before your visit.
The Feature Finale dessert alone might be reason enough to make the call.
